Remembrance Sunday

A Remembrance Sunday service was held on 14 November 2021 at the War Memorial in Aerodrome Road.

The service was led by the Rev Rob Grinsell, and the Deputy Town Mayor, Chairman of Swingfield laid wreaths. The Scouts delegation led a procession around the square before a church service at St Lukes, where wreaths were also laid.

After the service the Deputy Mayor travelled to the Memorial at St Peter’s Lich Gate for a short service, and after led a delegation to the war graves at Hawkinge Cemetery to pay their respects.
