The Hawkinge Town Council councillors and staff are heartbroken at the sad news of the passing of HM The Queen and extend our sincere condolences to her family at this difficult time.

A book of condolence is available at the Hawkinge Community Centre.
Placing of Flowers
Flowers may be placed outside the Hawkinge Community Centre against the wall of the foyer if desired.
It is requested that any flowers placed are unwrapped and not left in cellophane. The flowers will be removed on the morning after the State Funeral and will be composed.
Religious and Civic Ceremonies
Hawkinge Town Council Mayor, Councillor Philip Martin will the reading the Proclamation of the King at the flagpole outside the Hawkinge Town Council offices on Monday 12th September at 11am.
This is following the Principal Proclamation on Saturday 10th September and the Boroughs and District Proclamations on Sunday 11th September.
All are welcome to gather and mark the moment.
